Back in the Saddle

Well yesterday was fun…sort of. It was great having Rachel Firasek over and I’m so glad y’all had a chance to learn about her latest release. By the way, Nikki Brandyberry is the proud winner of Rachel’s giveaway! Yay! I’ll tell y’all, Rachel is a truly wonderful person and I hope you all check out the rest of her blog tour.

The not-so-fun part of yesterday was me being sick. It was such a bummer. On one hand, I figured since I was home, I could write, but then I couldn’t stand sitting in front of the monitor, so that didn’t work out. Then my mom fell down the steps (for the hundredth time). She’s okay! And I swear, I didn’t laugh until she laughed. She’s hurting, bruised butt and ego, but I think she’ll be fine.

Today though, I’m hoping for good things. I’m actually over at the Plot Mamas blog with another giveaway so I look forward to seeing y’all there. It’s the last stop in the blog tour for Succubus-in-Waiting. I have to thank everyone for being a part of it, but as you know, that isn’t the end of the fun and games.

Oh, noes. Lifestyles of the Fey and Dangerous is being released on April 6th and this means another round of blog tours. So if you’re in dire need of someone fabulously funny and goofy…I’m your woman! Drop me an e-mail and we can set something up. And yes, I have masks for this tour as well. There’s at least one person who’s won two masks so far (Jillian) and she’s on her way to having a complete set.

Lifestyles is about a shadow fairy assassin who’s assigned to kill none other than former bad boy, Malachi Cromwell. If you’ve read books one and two of the series, you know how charming he is, so it shouldn’t come as no surprise that she can’t quite bring herself to erase him. That’s when the fun really starts.

So…now that I’ve got all that out of the way…c’mon Tuesday, be good to me!

Release Day for Rachel

I love those words “release day”. They’re really two of the best sounding words in the English language…right after “book contract”. So I’m especially pleased when I hear/read those words in connection with one of my writing pals. When Rachel Firasek asked to interview me for her blog, I was thrilled. When she let the cat out of the bag about her own soon-to-be released book, I was beyond thrilled.

Today I have Rachel here discussing her release, which is…um, today! Er, okay so Rachel actually gave me this information last week, but I was out-of-town for work and couldn’t get to it. But better late than never, right? Right? *runs away before Rachel skins her*

I want to thank Danica for letting me abuse her, I mean use her blog today! You are so great Danica. I’m still watching for those masks…*whispers to the crowd* I wanna win one.  J Okay, in all seriousness, I have an announcement, and you fine people are the first ones to know. My debut novel, Passion of the Soul: Piper’s Fury is now out today!. Yeap, that’s right, today marks the end of this last 18 months or sore fingers, sweating pits—yes, people, women sweat when they’re nervous—and sleepless nights revising to rest.

Now, on to a new world: Promoting!

I get to go out into the vast world, overcome my extremely introverted nature, and convince you fine folks my book is the next best thing to whatever higher power you relate to.  (No offense intended)

So, I’ve thought long and hard, and unlike Danica and her crafty masks, I haven’t come up with a marketing tool yet. So, I thought I’d ask for help from the crowd. I’ve put together some keywords to help you out.

Soul-Piper can read your soul.

Demon-Beware what you call from the dark world.

Vampire-Mine are alive.

Pain-Suffering is a state of mind.

Heart-A still heart can beat again.

Light-A pure soul will blind you.

Child-A child’s smile can erase all hate.

So, like I said, I’m at a loss. What can you think of? Anything will be welcome! If you’d like to read an excerpt, please visit my website at http://www.rachelfirasek.com/prufbooks.htm

One lucky person will win a free ebook! Thank you so much for celebrating my release day with me!

Danica here again…I’d like to thank Rachel for being so kind and patient with me. She’s a wonderful person and I for one, can’t wait to read her book. So c’mon, peeps. Help Rachel out. Toss your ideas out there and win a chance to get a free book.

Fantasy Man Friday

It’s been such a busy week! Between blog tours, writing, and making plans for the weekend, I feel like I haven’t had a chance to breathe. Um, well obviously I’ve managed to find the time since I’m still alive, but you know what I mean!

Before I get to the Fantasy Man, I’d like to announce the winners of this week’s giveaways. From Nikki Brandyberry’s blog, the following ladies had their numbers pulled: Cindy, LaTessa, and Peep!. Ladies, thank  you so much for stopping by and commenting. I hope you enjoy your prizes! From Rachel Firasek’s blog, the lucky winner is: Eva!

It was so much fun to read the comments everyone left and I was very honored to see familiar faces this week. Y’all are the best! That doesn’t mean it’s over though. No indeed! Next week, I have two more giveaways planned and hopefully I’ll see more of you there. On February 15, I’ll be over at Jillian Chantal’s blog for another interview and giveaway. Then on February 17, I’ll be over at Avril Ashton’s blog for yet another interview and giveaway. I hope to see you there!

Now for the item of business everyone’s been waiting for. Friday’s are my favorite day of the week without a doubt. I know, I know. It’s everyone’s favorite day, but for me it means more than just posting a sexy man on my blog. You see, the entire week before Fantasy Man Fridays, I spend time searching for the perfect Fantasy Man. Oh, yes…

*ten minutes later*

Sorry! So sorry, I got a little distracted by today’s Fantasy Man. I’ll show you why:

Ummmm…um…At first I thought he was holding some kind of…I don’t know, scarf or something, but I’m glad to see he isn’t. He isn’t as muscular as some of my regular Fantasy Men, but yeah, I don’t mind at all! That glistening skin, those cheekbones, the way his pants are barely hanging in there…Oh, yeah. Ahem.

Er…what was I going to say next? Um, I can’t remember. Anyway, I hope you all have a wonderful Friday and a safe weekend!

On Tour

I’m giggling at myself for the title of this post. I always wanted to be a musician with gigs all over the country, unfortunately, I’m not terribly musically inclined. Instead, I save my creativity for writing but that doesn’t mean I can’t have a tour!

My erotic paranormal, Ruby: Uncut and on the Loose will be released a week from tomorrow. It’s so exciting! And sickening. The sickening thing will probably grow worse as the release date creeps closer. I’ll probably stop eating, or if I do eat, everything will come back up (you wanted to know that I’m sure). The thing is, when I get nervous, I tend to get sick to my stomach. It could help me lose weight, but I don’t think that’s a good way to do it. Hm.

Anyway! The tour. That’s what I was talking about (forget about my sensitive stomach for the moment). Several lovely people have expressed interest in having moi on their blogs and I’m so happy (and nervous). Again with the stomach. So here’s the list of where I’ll be:

January 29, 2011 – Southern Sizzle Romance for Badurday. I’ll be talking about bad boys, villains, and have a little excerpt from the book. Giveaway!

February 5, 2011 – Falyn Donaldson is having me over on her blog for a special edition of Teaser…er, well it isn’t Tuesday, so let’s call it “Sneak Peek Saturday”. I’ll have an excerpt up and yet another giveaway!

February 7, 2011 – Nikki Brandyberry is interviewed me. Let me just mention that I labored and edited and labored some more over my answers. Oh, and we’re having a giveaway!

February 10, 2011 – Rachel Firasek will have me over on her blog for another interview and yet another giveaway!

February 15, 2011 – Jillian Chantal is interviewing me as well and you guessed it, another giveaway! (Do you see a theme here?)

February 17, 2011 – Avril Ashton, one of my critique partners and wicked good author is having me over for an interview and a giveaway. Also, she’ll be stopping by here on Friday January 28, 2011 for me to pick her brain (be sure to stop by as she’s having an ARC contest of her soon-to-be released romance, A Wicked Ride).

That’s all for right now, but I think that’s plenty. On top of all the tour dates and giveaways, next week I’ll be joining several other wonderful writer type peeps on a group blog called Four Foxes One Hound. I’ll be joined by Jillian Chantal, Daisy Harris, Lynn Rush, and the lone hound, Jeff Salter. We’ll talk about anything and everything to do with life, romance, and writing. Be sure to visit us!

I’m probably leaving out a date, but as soon as I figure out which one it is, I’ll let you know!

P.S. Be sure to check out Allison Pang’s debut release, A Brush of Darkness. She’s a snarky, brilliant lady!
