Bad Blogger, No Treat

Would you believe me if I said I completely forgot to blog yesterday? I totally did. For some reason I thought I had a guest blogger? Or maybe I was so tired from the weekend, I didn’t care. But whatever the reason, I forgot to blog and now I’ll never win Erotic Romance Author Blogger of 2013 *sniff*

*shuffles her feet*

Last week was exhausting. I didn’t mention it here, but my great-nephew had to go to the hospital for surgery on Thursday. He’s fine now and hopefully he’ll start gaining the weight he so desperately needs. On that same day, I had a check up with my orthopedic surgeon who suggested surgery. Of course he also said I could just let it try to work itself out, but I’ll have to deal with pain until then. I opted for surgery. Now I just need to decide when is a good time for it. Oh and later that morning, between my doctor news and Mason’s surgery news, I along with A.M. Griffin and Lea Barrymire joined the crew at Cave Chaos Radio for some fun and laughs. So yeah, last week was tiring.

Really though, the weekend was exhausting. The weather was gorgeous which meant I had this insane urge to do stuff. By do stuff, I mean I woke up at 6:30 on Saturday morning. Finished reading a book I’d started, went back to bed by 7:30 and woke up at 10:00 with just enough time to meet my brother-in-law and sister at the Tractor Supply Company. We’d made plans to get Mom’s Mother’s Day present early and they wanted me there for 10:30. Er. Sure. I brushed my teeth in the shower, put on mismatched clothes and raced there.

We got Mom’s present and she was thrilled with it. So yay! I also took her on a mini-road trip on Sunday which we both enjoyed. I really do love to get behind the wheel of my car and explore the area. The weather was perfect for a drive. It’s times like that I wish I had a Harley or something. Then I recall how many times I ran into trees with my bicycle, how many times I wiped out and I revise my opinion and wish for a convertible. Yeah.

Anyway, that was my weekend and I’m glad to be back…not really. I’d do the weekend all over again. Especially the sleeping part. That was awesomesauce. I need all of the rest I can get before RT next week. What did y’all do over the weekend?

Fantasy Man Friday

Happy Friday everyone!

I’ve had a decent week, how about you? Oh, sure I have a dead battery in my car, but that’s okay. I wrote a lot yesterday! Really, a good word count is almost as good as…chocolate. Almost, but not really. Okay, they’re nothing alike, but I have to compare it to something.

So this weekend is Mother’s Day. Y’all know I love my mom. It’s pretty self-evident,  huh? Well, I’m giving myself a Mother’s Day present. “But Danica,” I hear you say, “you don’t have any children.” Au contraire! I have three, no five children, two of which are part-timers (nephews) and the full-timers (pets).

Because of the endless cycle of vet visits, grocery stops for food, feeding schedules, bathing, and quality time with each of them…I deserve something special for Mother’s Day. I need…this:

He’s…pretty. Pretty young, pretty built, wearing pretty tight jeans. Rar.

*a minute later*

Heh…zoned out for a bit. It’s that crease in his skin right above his hip. It’s mesmerizing…nom, nom, nom.

I hope y’all have a Happy Mother’s Day weekend. Be safe, enjoy yourselves, and remember…it’s okay to look.

Fantasy Man Friday

Drumroll please! Yes, it is FRIIIIDAY! *dances badly*

I’m so glad to see this week end. I think I say that every week though, so that should be nothing new. I shouldn’t be glad about it, really. This is my last “free” week until after my brother’s wedding in a month. Oh but I won’t have a free weekend, not really. My sister somehow talked me into joining her in a shoe shopping excursion, having Chinese for lunch, and pretty much spending money I shouldn’t. She’s a bad influence on my checkbook.

It’s also Mother’s Day weekend. I don’t have children unless you count the Three Amigos: Ty, Mia, and Cookie. Sometimes I feel like a parent. Last night I found myself demanding an answer to a question I’d asked my dog (Mia). Of course she just gave me a clueless look and walked away.

My mom is a good sport. I know I mentioned earlier this week…yesterday in fact, that I love to pick. Well, this extends to my brother, sister, and my nephews. My oldest nephew has this thing about playing with her hair, especially after she’s just fixed it. She fusses, but she lets him do it because she loves the attention. My siblings and I have a nickname for Mom…she is “The Mother Lode”. Which really is a compliment if you think about it. She’s priceless. Oh sure, she drives us nuts, but we adore her. We spoil her horribly. She in turn, thinks we’re all weird, but she enjoys our attentions.

Now, for you moms out there, Happy Mother’s Day. You’ve worked hard since day one of your child’s birth and you deserve a little appreciation. I don’t know you personally, but I don’t think any of y’all could turn down this small token of appreciation:

Um…I wonder if he’s looking for a sugar mama. I don’t have the money, but I could sure pretend I do. Hubba, hubba! Glistening muscles, very small bathing…thingy, mmm, nice! It would be nicer if he was, you know, naked. But I’ll take what I can get. Gladly!

So, there you are. My Mother’s Day gift to you all. I hope you enjoy it and enjoy your special day.
