Interview with Caveman De Angelo

Happy, happy Friday y’all! Before I get to the good stuff, bwahaha, I’m over at the ARe Cafe today talking about writing for Ellora’s Cave. Stop by!

Do y’all even read the intro to these interviews or just jump to the good stuff? I’m kind of curious about that so let me know in the comments if you read this or if I should just dive straight into the good-looking men. M’kay?

But in case you do read this…Hey! It’s Friday! Woot-woot! I’m sending off my latest manuscript to my editor today. *crosses her fingers* Hopefully I’ll have good news to share with y’all soon. Mais, I hope I do because it feels like I’ve given birth to this story. Yeah, it took that long. It’s a full term novel. If I get an acceptance, I might even buy myself some flowers saying “Here It Is!” *snickers*

And oh, if I can get today’s hunk on the cover of my book? That would just be…awesomesauce. Today I have another new Ellora’s Cave cover model, Caveman De Angelo. Oh yes, I’m shocked myself! But De Angelo is an amazing guy with a sexy Italian accent and a great personality. He’s also hubba, hubba hot. *fans herself* Um, so yeah, here’s the interview…’scuse me while I wipe up the drool from my keyboard.

DA1

Danica: What made you want to be a model?
De Angelo: I started modeling when I was younger. When I was about sixteen or seventeen I signed with an agency in my country. I had to stop fashion modeling because I started growing and my body didn’t fit in the clothing anymore. I like doing sports and my body was naturally muscular, I would have had to starve myself to get down to 160 pounds and fit into the clothes I would’ve had to model.
Danica: I’m definitely liking the physique he’s sporting now. Ladies?

Danica: What’s the one place in the world you’d love to visit and why?
De Angelo: Probably more than one place. I like to travel. I don’t think about vacations a lot since I work all the time.

Danica: What do you have going on right now? Do you have any upcoming appearances? If so, when, where and will there be video? Just joking about that last one. Sort of. Ahem.
De Angelo: I’ll be at RomantiCon in Ohio. I used to compete in body building competitions, but I didn’t want to keep getting bigger. Now I do personal training, I’m the dance manager at my club helping choreography with the other dancers and take acting classes with modeling on the side.
Danica:  A man of many talents. *cough* And oh yeah, we’ll be seeing you at RomantiCon! Right, Cabal? I know y’all are out there reading this…DA3Danica: How was the photoshoot with EC?
De Angelo: It was a lot of fun. The photographer was great. People thought the face I gave Bill Giste the look.
Danica: I think that look solidified De Angelo as one of our favorite Cavemen. That look. Priceless! If you missed it, Ellora’s Cave was featured on CBS Sunday Morning and De Angelo was one of the models during the photoshoot.

Danica: What do you think is your best feature?
De Angelo: Personality, smile and eyes.

Danica: What’s it like being the focus of so much female attention?
De Angelo: I think it’s good, you meet a lot of people, get to know them, talk with them. I like it.
Danica: I’m glad because I know he’s going to cause a stir at RomantiCon!

Danica: What kind of woman are you most drawn to sexually?
De Angelo: Personality is very important, what’s inside a person counts.
Danica: And there was a collective sigh as millions (okay hundreds) of women fell in love with De Angelo. And now imagine him saying that in his Italian accent.DA2

Danica: What’s your favorite kink? Yes, sexually.
De Angelo: I just go with the flow. I like it when it’s spontaneous, nothing planned.
Danica: My mind just blanked out. trying to imagine what going with the flow means exactly.

Danica: Are you a breast or a butt man?
De Angelo: It’s not really important to me, the only thing that really matters is the personality.

Danica: What’s your favorite position?
De Angelo: I like a little bit of everything.
Danica: Again, I have no words.

Danica: What’s your theme song?
De Angelo: I’m in the club a lot, so I like to chill in my free time.

DA5

Danica: How have you been in the U.S.? And is there any particular place you’d like to live?
De Angelo: Five years, and moved directly to Miami. The place I’d love to live would be Los Angeles. I don’t to go to NYC because of the weather.

Danica: What’s your favorite color?
De Angelo: Blue, I suppose, but I don’t really have a favorite color.

Danica: Favorite food?
De Angelo: Italian food, I know how to cook, so I make it for myself. Home cooking is best.
Danica: Authentic Italian food cooked by a sexy Italian man. That’s book fodder right there.DA4

Danica: Do you prefer winter or summer?
De Angelo: Summer, hot weather

Danica: Do you prefer mountains or beaches?
De Angelo: Beaches

Danica: Pets? What kind?
De Angelo: Yes, I had two dogs. They’re called dogo argentinos which are like a mastiffs, big dogs. I had to leave them in Italy when I moved here.
Danica: Awww!

DA7

Danica: Boxers, briefs, commando?
De Angelo: Boxer-briefs, feel more relaxed.
Danica: Ahem…

DA6

Danica: Is there anything about yourself you feel enough people don’t know?
De Angelo: When people get to know me, they learn I’m a simple, easy-going guy and I like to help people.

You know that moment when your brain goes completely offline? I’m having that right now. Uh. Heh. Heh. Wow. De Angelo is a man of many faces, right? It’s amazing and hot and I’m going to shut up now.

I hope y’all have a great weekend…um, yeah. Talk to y’all later.

Interview With Chase

Well, well, what do you know? I’m back again this week with another great interview. Oh, y’all are in for a treat!

As y’all know, I scan the webs for sexy and fun men who are willing to answer just about any question we have. This time around, I netted myself a very handsome devil from Texas. Chase is a dancer at LaBare Dallas, the club that gave us such delectable men to admire as David, Nick and Taylor. Three of our favorite sexy cavemen performers. Is it getting hot in here or what?

Oh. Right. You’re here for Chase. Well, here y’all go!

Danica:  What’s the one place in the world you’d love to visit and why?
Chase: Well traveling is really a great love of mine so this is a very difficult question. After a lot of thought I’d have to say Costa Rica. Out of Japan, Australia, Brazil and Italy I think it’s the only one I’ll be able to visit within this year. This of course is a list of my top 5 destinations. Costa Rica is gorgeous and has a little bit of everything. There are beaches, a jungle and even a volcano what more can you ask for? I believe that travel should be an adventure and I have always wanted to do a zip line tour through the Costa Rican jungle. They have hiking tours of the volcano and four-wheeler and horse back excursions on the beach as well. Let’s not forget the amazing scuba diving and fishing off the coast either. Costa Rica has a little something to offer everyone just like me. 🙂

Danica: What do you have going on right now? Do you have any upcoming appearances? If so, when, where and will there be video? Just joking about that last one. Sort of. Ahem.
Chase: I love this question! Yes there will be video 🙂 hopefully. I’ve always said if its worth doing it should be done on video…just kidding. In all seriousness though I will be performing at LaBare Dallas on April 18 for the Dance Wars I’m actually featured on the ticket so I’m pretty excited about it. I will be setting up a video camera in the club and may even do a live web cast of the event for all our amazing fans that can’t make it all the way down here to good ole’ Dallas, Texas. I also will be performing at a burlesque show in July in Dallas, and after that who knows the sky is limit as far as I’m concerned.

dancewars13aSM

Danica: I honestly stared at my calendar trying to figure out how I could make this show on April 18th…damn you doctors’ appointments! *sob* If someone goes…take video for me. You must. Chase is the cowboy on the right. Now I’m singing “Save a horse, ride a cowboy…”

Danica: How many hours do you spend in the gym?
Chase: I spend a lot of time in the gym. Around two hours a visit and at least five visits a week. Not necessarily cause I have to, but more cause I want to. I love working out in all it’s forms. I’ve done crossfit, yoga, high intensity and high volume training I love it all. I am especially in love with yoga. It works out your core, adds flexibility and wow what a stress reliever I almost feel like it’s a solo massage and who of us doesn’t love a little me-on-me action. Oops did I just make a masturbation joke 😉 nope not me not never.
Danica: I think all the ladies’ eyes glazed over at the me-on-me action part…I know mine did. *cough* But there was no drool. I swear.

Danica: What do you think is your best feature?
Chase: I would have to say that my personality is my best feature. Looks will always fade, but a good personality is forever. If I had to choose a physical feature I’d have to say my smile.
Danica: And if y’all keep scrolling down, you’ll see the evidence of his smile for yourselves. Dimples, y’all. He has DIMPLES.

Danica: What’s your favorite kink? (sexual)
Chase: Now that’s a loaded question. Do I have a swing available or leather straps? What shape is the bed? Just way too many variables to that question. In all honesty it depends on who I’m with. There are after all two of us involved in this activity so it really depends on how we interact together and how she feels during each position. It’s about what OUR favorite position is, not MINE or HERS.
Danica: And I have to give this week’s sex question medal to Chase. There really isn’t a medal, but I don’t think anyone cares. This is an awesome answer with soooo many possibilities. Swings, leather straps and bed shapes…really. Just…really? I do believe I might le swoon!

BLACKANDWHITE

Danica: What’s your theme song?
Chase: These are some serious thought-provoking questions. I have to say the song that popped into my head first is “Don’t you worry child” by Swedish House Mafia, because I try to be worry free and I do love the idea of someone carrying about what happens to me upstairs. Plus that is a great song to jam out to and do cardio like the row machine. I’d also have to say “Feeling Good” by Michael Buble I’m always about positive energy and feeling good and happy. I also love that style of music. I miss the Frank Sinatra’s and Dean Martin’s of the world so I’m a huge fan of Michael Buble and I even do a performance based on two of his songs mixed.
Danica: I think one of my fellow Cabal members is going to at the club in Dallas this weekend. The hooker. If she sees this show without letting me know how good it is…

Danica: It’s the zombiepocalypse. Are you a survivor or zombie food?
Chase: I am a survivor for sure and will do anything for the ones I love. Also I love skeet shooting and archery so I feel like I have the necessary skills. Don’t mess with me and mine you crazy flesh-eating zombies cause I’ve got skillz! Yep… with a Z that’s when you know I’m serious. HAHA
Danica: For realz! I do the same thing, especially when it comes to talking about the menz.

Danica: What’s your favorite color?
Chase: Black, Red and Green

COWBOY

Danica: What’s your favorite food?
Chase: Sushi! I feel like its edible artwork and its good for you :-)…sometimes.
Danica: I use the same justification to feed my addiction for it.

Danica: Winter or Summer?
Chase: Summer! Any excuse to be in the water and see ladies scantily clad 🙂

Danica: What’s one movie you can watch over and over again?
Chase: This is sad but the truth probably a kids movie like maybe Madgascar 3. I love kids movies. I can’t help it they make me smile and laugh. And who doesn’t love those penguins? Freakin adorable!
Danica: They are pretty friggin’ hilarious. Oh and penguins are cute. My sister and I just about killed ourselves watching the latest Muppet movie. At the theater. The kids just didn’t get it.

Danica: Beaches or mountains?
Chase: Beaches of course!
Danica: I wonder if it’s because there aren’t many scantily clad women in the mountains?

Danica: Do you have any pets? What kind?
Chase: I have no pets not because I don’t love animals, but because I have no time to take the proper care of them.

Danica: Boxers, briefs or commando?
Chase: I like to get naked as quick as possible so I wear my birthday suit under my clothes 🙂
Danica: And on that note…No, really. I nearly swallowed my tongue at that answer.

GQ

Danica: Is there anything about yourself you feel enough people don’t know?
Chase: I don’t think enough people know how hard I work. I currently work two jobs, run a personal trainer service, am trying to start a nonprofit fitness sponsoring site, refining another entertainment and merchandising site as well as going to school. I am a very busy and hard-working man.
Danica: Wow, that’s impressive! I wish you all the luck with your endeavors, Chase.

Are y’all finished shorting out your computers from drool? Hello? Can you see the words that I’m putting down on the screen?

*waits most of the day*

Okay, are y’all done then? What do y’all think of Chase? To quote the Cabal theme song (it’s an unofficial theme song) “As Prince says he’s a sexy mother…” Yeah.

Happy Friday!

What A Hoot

It’s Monday. Meh.

From Friday afternoon to just before dawn today felt more like a week than a weekend. I could have sworn today was Tuesday. Honestly!

Why? Well, because I barely had an uncomplicated minute to myself. For the most part, I can’t complain. Friday afternoon, while checking out a building, I stumbled across something I’ll probably never see again. At first, because I was all alone and the building was shadowy and kind of scary and because I was expecting to see something like a snake, possum or raccoon, I was scared. I mean, wouldn’t you be if you saw something move out the corner of your eye and heard this ominous clicking sound? Especially when there was supposed to be nothing in this building?

Liar! Y’all all want to act as though you would have known, but y’all would’ve been just like me. Point at it, shout “holy shit! What is that?” to no one in particular and walk away as though it’s going to grow fangs and come at you like the killer rabbit in The Holy Grail. It was only later that I realized this is what I stumbled across:

2013-02-15_16-04-53_939

It’s a baby owl. One of two I found huddling next to a box in the warehouse. I don’t know if they fell from their perch, if their mother abandoned them when crews began to work on the building or what, but they didn’t look like owls when I first saw them. They looked like…monsters. Sure, laugh! I did. But do you see the size of those talons? I told my coworker if he didn’t leave them alone they were going to fly at his face and eat it.

So the excitement from the Great Owl Discovery faded and I had a baby shower to attend on Saturday. It was nice. My nephew’s girlfriend got a lot of presents and looked adorable with her baby bump. I wonder if she even realizes she’s naming my great-nephew the same name I chose for one of my heroes. Mason. Hopefully this Mason has an easier life of it than the fictional one. Which come to think of it is kind of funny. My sister named her new puppy Izzy. That’s the name of my heroine from Ain’t No Bull. I bet she forgot that.

By Saturday night though, I was convinced someone was trying to kill me. I spent most of the night casting up my accounts (which sounds a lot like math) which meant when Sunday rolled around, I felt like death warmed over. I slept all day, watched G.I. Joe and bitched at Duke for forgiving The Baroness. *mutters*

Anyway, this is going to be another hectic week with a Cabal of Hotness Chat at Coffee Time Romance tomorrow night and the cabal is in full force over at Naughty Author Chicks this week. Again. Yes we invaded them hard. OH!! And the second volume of the Fondled and Gobbled anthology, Going Back for Seconds comes out this Friday. There are some very stressed, freaked out funny women in the Cabal.

Unleashing the Cabal

You knew it was bound to happen. One day you’d stop here and see insanity and chaos unleashed on the world.

Today is that day. With the upcoming releases of Fondled and Gobbled: Someone Had To Do It and Fondled and Gobbled: Going Back For Seconds on the horizon, we’ve scheduled stops all over the place. Seriously? For the next few weeks, we’re going to be some very busy, crazy ladies and today kicks off the start of the insanity.

I’m sure our hostess clutched her head and screamed when she saw what we sent her. But she did ask for us to be ourselves…so we were. In a chatroom in an undisclosed location…with no real moderator. If you happen to see Nikki in person, make sure she’s sane, okay?

But if you want to see what might have driven her over the edge, check out our very first interview as a group over at Ramblings from a Chaotic Mind…Come to think of it, we probably chose the perfect place to kick off the nearly three month long blog tour for the Fondled and Gobbled anthologies.

Also, don’t forget that we have our own blog. We’re introducing ourselves this morning and offering up a chance to win a $100 Amazon gift card. Stop by to find out how to win. And as if that wasn’t enough, there are some blog hops coming up in February and March. Check out the sidebar for more information.

Got it? Good. I hope to have some sexy man pictures tomorrow, but we’ll have to see if they sit still long enough for me to get them. *cackle* ahem.

Caveman Justin

You’ve been waiting for it and here it is. Today we have the sexy and talented Caveman Justin in the house. Woot-woot! I had the very awesome chance to chitchat with Justin at RomantiCon and found him to be a riot, as well as smart as hell.

You’re totally not here to listen to me, so I’ll let him take it away. Remember, if you have a question to ask this savvy Caveman, leave it in the comments and he’ll pop by later to answer!

Danica: Do you have a favorite book or author? Other than myself, that is. Yes, ladies, I am buffing my fingernails because I’m that made of awesome.
Justin: The secret: I am a self-help book type of guy. I will be reading my first erotica soon, tho!

Danica: Have you ever read one of the books you’ve been a cover model for?
Justin: Not yet

Danica: What’s your favorite part about being a cover model/dancer?
Justin: I feel like it is way more prestigious than saying I am a male stripper.
Danica: Your least favorite?
Justin: Nothing, I love everything about it
Danica: Why can’t we all say that about our jobs? I feel cheated!

Danica: What’s the funniest thing you’ve ever seen in your line of work?
Justin: So many things I could say right now…Watching a stage dance for a tranny. Everyone knew but the dancer!
Danica: Weirdest?
Justin: a girl was shaking so badly when I got close to her! It was like one of those kids crying when they saw Michael Jackson! Made me feel special! Lol!
Danica: Okay, I confess, for my “fantasy” picture shoot, my face was trembling…or it might have been my whole body. Wouldn’t you have been the same with three buff, half-naked men swarming around you? *fans herself* Ahem, back to the discussion at hand.
Danica: What was the scariest thing you ever saw?
Justin: watching a dancer pass out from too much alcohol and hit his head on the concrete in the dressing room!

Danica: What were you like in high school? Nerd? Jock? Skater? Band nerd? Cheerleader? Teacher’s pet?
Justin: Part nerd/jock ( I received the award for male athlete with the highest GPA in my class). Was big into theater and did 6-10 plays my last 2 years of high school. Basically, I had friends from nerds to jocks, from skaters to preps. I couldn’t be classified in one category.

Danica: What’s the ring tone you use for family members of the female persuasion? I use Riding Dirty for my aunt. Trust me, it suits her.
Justin: I had a funny Asian ringtone due to the fact I’m half Asian. It got old fast so I just use the normal ring now.

Danica: Do you have a favorite band? Is there a band you’ve always wanted to see live but haven’t?
Justin: The Cure! Their gloomy music made many of my darker days seems much brighter! I’ve seen them 3 times!

Danica: What’s the one place in the world you’d love to visit and why?
Justin: I can’t narrow it down to one! I wanna travel as much as I can and see everything!

Danica: What’s your cologne of choice? (Because everyone commented on how great y’all smelled.)
Justin: I have about 10 bottles and rotate them. Unfortunately , they are bottles I saved during my career as a dancer and just recently realized that they are all out of style! Curve, lucky you, cool water, Hugo boss, etc…
Danica: *blink* Did any of you ladies at RomantiCon even notice some of the cavemen smelling out of style? All I smelled was “mm, mm goodness”.

Danica: What do you plan to do after dancing?
Justin: I own my own business The End Zone Sports Bar and Grill in Houston. Also, I am a landlord to my two rental houses. I have two more contracts for books and still have a touring group that performs at many casinos and clubs throughout the USA.
The End Zone Sports Bar and Grill. This sounds like the kind of spot the Cabal of Hotness should meet. Ladies? Research/writing road trip to Houston!

Danica: Do you have kids? (Daughters in particular) Are you protective of them?
Justin: Two little princesses! 2-4 years of age! I plan on making it very hard for them to bring boys home when they get older. This will be done by embarrassment and uncle Taylor and I  plan on scaring a few as well!

Danica: What do you have going on right now? Do you have any upcoming appearances? If so, when, where and will there be video? Just joking about that last one. Sort of. Ahem.
Justin: First finalized date so far is Davenport, Iowa on Feb 8th and 9th at Rhythm City Casino.
Danica: Can you feel me turning green with envy? Whoever goes to this show had better share pictures!

Danica: Do you have a nickname you’d like to share with us? And explain how you got it?
Justin: Boss man, I have over 20 employees at my bar.
Danica: *Sigh* I’d call you boss man 😉

Danica: At the Meet & Greet on Thursday night at RomantiCon, did you feel like you were in a zoo exhibit? (With everyone standing around taking pictures of you.)
Justin: Not at all! I truly loved that everyone was so damn nice! I wish everyday life I could be around such creative, positive and dirty minds! Lol! But seriously, I can’t wait until next year’s RomantiCon! I hope to be part of the awards ceremony!

Danica: If you were in a zoo, what animal would you be?
Justin: I would be whatever animal had the most space to freely roam. Or wait…probably, a lion. They have sex all day everyday! Lol!
Danica: OMG, I’m blushing! Quick, next question!

Danica: How many hours do you spend in the gym? Because ay chihuahua!
Justin: I spend 45 min. X 4-5 days per week. Roughly 3 – 3 1/2 hours a week. It’s consistency that matters. Last chapter in the book is dedicated to fitness and our short cuts.
Danica: For those of you not in the know, Justin and Taylor wrote a book called Take It Off which is a very fun read 😉 I highly recommend you read it this week because Justin will be back next week with Taylor Cole to answer questions about their book. Just sayin’

Danica: What do you think is your best attribute?
Justin: My best attribute is my mind. I always think outside the box and a strong mind can carry you farther in this business than any other one single attribute.

Quick response:
Favorite food? Vietnamese
Do you prefer summer or winter? Summer
What’s one movie you can watch over and over? Grease
Do you prefer mountains or beaches? Beaches
Pets? What kind? Two dogs, small
What attracts you to a woman:? Her positive aura.

And is there anything about yourself you feel enough people don’t know?
Justin: I live my life trying to be upbeat and honest. I cannot tell a lie and I cannot stand it when I’m lied to.
Well, there you have it. Justin was a great sport when I stalked uh, contacted him about the blog. Do you have any questions for him? Leave them in the comments. I hope y’all have had as much fun reading this interview as I had getting it. OMG, I did not mean it that way. I’m shutting up now.

You can friend Justin and “like” his sports bar. Find him on Facebook at the following places!

Caveman Christian

It took us a little longer to get to this point than I’d anticipated, but here we are. A new week with a special twist. TWO men for you this week. Oh yes, you heard me. TWO sexy, interesting men to ease you into the start of holiday season.

It’s Monday. Boo. But, I have a special treat for y’all. Call it inspired, call it stalking, call it whatever you want, but I’m going to be putting the spotlight on real fantasy men. You heard me right! Over the next few weeks we’ll be spotlighting those hunky, muscled cover models for Ellora’s Cave.

I’ve been lucky enough to meet several of them and they’re the sweetest, most  flexible men you’d ever want to meet. Heh. Uh, I meant flexible in that they’re helpful…and other things. Oh I’m shutting up now.

Today we have the first of our Cavemen, Christian. I’ve had the great pleasure of seeing Christian in a loin cloth and peacock feathers. ‘Nuff said. Let’s hear from Christian. If you have any questions you’d like to ask him, do so in the comments. He’ll be stopping by periodically to answer them!

Danica: What’s your favorite/least favorite part of being a model/dancer?
Christian:  Looking at this question I’m realizing two things.. the first
one being that I guess I’m the only Caveman who  has never been
a dancer, which in turn leaves me with the second realization suddenly
of why those guys are such damn good dancers!  Honestly, when I first
heard the guys talking about La Bare, I thought they were talking
about some bear from France. So again, I have no experiences to pull
from as a dancer but I have plenty to pull from being a cover guy. My
first cover was the cover of IronMan Magazine in 1996 and the last one
I was on came out last month with roughly 450 covers in between that
time.
Truthfully there are SO many “favorite” parts to love, I can’t pick
just one.  Being continuously on International covers gives you
opportunities that most people never realize exist, let alone never
get.
As a trusted and recognizable face within the health and fitness
industry, I’ve been given the opportunity to travel all over the world
speaking on the benefits of health, fitness and a life I’m fortunate
enough to be living.
Meeting incredible people, like yourselves makes my life that much better.
So I guess to answer the question, the best part of being a cover
model for me is I get to travel the world, meet tons of interesting
people and I get paid to do it.

Danica: What were you like in high school? Jock? Nerd? Cheerleader? Teacher’s pet?
Christian: I was literally that quintessential skinny kid who got beaten up daily
for his $1.25 in lunch money.  Being the nerd of the school AND being
the focus of the school bully for years doesn’t exactly win you
friends OR girlfriends. At fifteen years old, I’d finally had
enough…so I ran away and never went back. From five years old and
until the day I left, I’d lived in Poplar Bluff, Missouri and I found
myself that junior year of high school in Fairfax, Virginia. It was
then that my life took a drastic departure from what I’d been used to.
Never really ever having new kids move into that tiny town I lived in,
I’d never witnessed what I now know to be the strange Universal law
that the “new kid” in school is automatically thrust into the school
lime lite, thus being thrust into “popularity” actually by default.
Ultimately it becomes your choice to either find a way to remain
popular or digress back to the shadows and the Land of Misfit Toys.  I
had never felt anything like “popularity” before…I liked it….and I
still do.

Danica: What’s one place in the world you’d like to visit and why?
Christian: The one place I’d like to visit is the Congo.  I really want to go
someplace as untouched by man as possible.  Personally, when I travel,
I like to live the the locals do. It’s the only way to truly experience their culture.  Eating at KFC in Bali, Indonesia just doesn’t feel quite right.

Danica: Do you have a favorite band? One you’d like to see live in concert?
Christian: Depending on my mood, my preference for a favorite band changes. I’ve always liked Nickelback and havent had the opportunity to see them in
concert yet…so I guess today it’s Nickleback!   🙂

Danica: What made you want to become a Caveman?
Christian: You know, I didn’t realize how cool it is to be a Caveman until after
I’d already become one.  Six years ago my good friend and photographer
extraordinaire, Syneca Featherstone, introduced me to Ellora’s Cave
and all the wonderful and interesting people who ARE Ellora’s Cave.
It was and always still is fun and exciting to venture into the sexy
kinky world E.C. and you guys, the readers, the authors, and the fans
have created. I love people who aren’t afraid to speak their
minds…and from the few things I’ve read coming out of Ellora’s Cave
Publishing, you guys have no problem saying exactly what you want to.
I like that!

1. Beach or Mountains? Beach
2. Boxers, briefs, commando? All three, depending on the situation and my mood
3. Favorite movie? Conan the Barbarian (with Arnold Schwarzenegger) is the movie that changed my life so from a sentimental standpoint, it’s that one BUT I LOVE the movie The Fountain…and Love Actually…shit, do I really only get to  pick one??
4. Favorite food? Italian
5. What kind of cologne do you wear? It’s called Scent, by Christian Boeving

This is for Cristal: How do you feel about Canadian women?
I LOOOOOOVE Canadian women!  It’s one of the few places on the earth
where the beauty of the place (at least Vancouver and a few other
places I’ve been to) matches the beauty of the women, both inside and
out. I’m not sure if it’s something in the water they drink, the
purity of the environment or the fact that “eh” is an actual word that
they use but Canada, I LOVE YA!!

Now for the fan question:
Caveman Fan asks: She has a copy of your Playgirl spread. Will you sign it for her?
And yes, I’d be happy to sign that for her.   🙂

Um…*drags her gaze away from the picture* Uh. Thanks, Christian! Uh. he…I think he had a question for y’all about book covers. What do y’all want/like to see on a book cover? What do you hate?

Now y’all, its your turn to ask him some questions. He didn’t seem fazed at all when I warned him y’all might try to make him blush. Julianne, I’m talking to you! So go for it. He’s going to be popping back on the blog Monday and Tuesday to make up for the technical difficulties that’s plagued his interview, so take advantage of him.  I mean, of his uh, generosity 😉

Awesome Stuff

So I found out some interesting things over the weekend. First was that the second book in my Cajun Heat series, Primal Design, will come out September 19 with Ellora’s Cave. I was a little shocked when the date came through, but I’m so not complaining. As I’ve told Grace, my editor, I’m an instant gratification girl. I still don’t have a cover yet, although I’m sure that’s soon to arrive.

Secondly, I was being nosy about myself and googled my name. That’s when I stumbled across this post on USA Today’s Happy Ever After blog. It isn’t a review and it isn’t anything huge, but to me it was one of those OMG moments. My book was mentioned on USA Today…no matter how distantly. I think I grinned all weekend.

Then last night, I got the okay for my very first ever internet radio interview. You can hear me on The Author’s Corner, Thursday Nite  with host, Elaine Raco Chase.  Call in and chat – head to www.trianglevarietyradio.com – click on blog talk radio at 8PM EASTERN time….podcasts are available after the show! I’ll be on at 8:40 EST, so I hope some of y’all tune in. Y’all can tell me how awful I sound on Friday.

What a weekend! I hope everyone else had some great news over the weekend. Oh! And today I’m over at House Millar with an interview and exerpt for Primal Song. Ram and Daisy’s blog tour is well underway!

Cajun French: Couillon

I simply had to use this word today. You see, I’ve been struggling with my Olympus book 2 since November. I began it for NaNo and wrote 54k words just to get through the month. But when I tried to continue with it, I had trouble. Things just were not clicking. If you remember, I wrote book 1 in a single month because I couldn’t stop writing. It’s like the book wrote itself. That is so not happening with book 2.

You see, I was being hardheaded. I wanted to keep one particular aspect of the story the same so I wrote and rewrote the beginning at least a dozen times, but never got any further than 200 pages. It just didn’t feel right. So yesterday I decided the only thing for me to do was to drop my original plot idea and embrace another. I ended up writing 4k yesterday.

Now what does this have to do with this crazy word I’ve mentioned in the title of this post? Well, couillon (pronounced: koo-yon), means imbecile, fool, crazy person, or funny person. It can also be used as an adjective that would mean foolish, crazy, or funny.

When I decided to rewrite this entire book, I thought to myself, “I’m a couillon! Who rewrites an entire story when they have so much already written?!” Then later when I thought about my original idea, I thought, “Mais, that was a couillon idea! This one is so much better!”

You see why I had to share this with you today? Couillon is one of those words that I use in reference to myself. I tend to lean more towards the “crazy” part of the definition though. *cough*

Do you think you’ll be able to use this word? Several of you seem to have taken these Cajun French words as your own, which I love. Can you see yourself using couillon in the near future?

This is a shirt actually on sale at Cafepress! I must get one! LOL

By the way! Yup, you got it. I’m being interviewed again. And having a giveaway. Again. (I love Forrest Gump.) This time I’m over at Rachel Firasek’s blog. I hope you’ll stop by and join the fun!
