Caveman Taylor’s Song Pick

It’s time for What’s Playing Wednesday. It’s also the anniversary of 9-11. Twelve years ago…right about now, I was in bed with the radio playing, but something in the DJ’s voice caught my attention. I stumbled out of bed to the living room and watched in horror as events unfolded.

Lots of times I’ll hear my parents talk about where they were when x happened. As I grow older, I realize those are sad milestones of our lives. Where were you when…Yeah, where were you? I always remember that morning when this date passes around and it saddens me to realize there’s so much hatred in the world.

I was going to pull this post this morning out of respect, then I realized that’s wrong and giving in. We’re meant to live our lives and if listening to music shared by a handsome man is the way we live, so be it. Yes, honor those who were lost twelve years ago, remember and give thanks to the emergency personnel who risked their lives trying to save others, and give thanks to those who fight to keep us safe.

And enjoy some music by Caveman Taylor.

Normally I have themes, but with RomantiCon coming up, I decided to hand the music controls over to some of the cavemen. If you’ve been to the Ellora’s Cave conference, you know just how much fun it is hanging with these guys. They’re all really awesome guys with a great sense of humor. They’re also hot as hell, but y’all already know that from past Fantasy Man Friday Interviews.

But I find knowing what people listen to is probably a better way to get to know them than anything else. By now, most of you probably know I have musical ADD. I have a tough exterior with a sappy, sentimental center. That’s what you’ve probably learned from my music choices over the past…er, 4 years?

So what will we learn from today’s Caveman? Oh, did I mention it’s Taylor? Sexy, funny Caveman Taylor who also co-wrote the Take It Off  books? Just in case you don’t remember him, this is Taylor:

Hehe. Sorry. Ahem.

So Taylor, when I asked what song he was digging on lately, chose Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky”. Hm, I wonder what exactly that means? I’ll be honest, I’d never heard this song until Taylor mentioned it. Not really my speed, but it’s kind of groovy, yeah? Check it out for yourself and let me know what you think! And be sure to check out Taylor on Facebook!

Interview with Caveman Mark

Happy Friday folks! I know y’all have to be looking forward to the weekend. I know I am. The time fast approaches when I’ll be jetting to Kansas City for RT (yay!) and I can hardly wait. It’s going to be a blast and I hope to see some of y’all there.

I’m very excited about seeing a lot of my fellow writers, as well as meeting new ones. And who can forget the cavemen? Hello, nurse! There’s nothing more fun than hanging out and dancing with the sexy, good-natured men who grace the covers of Ellora’s Cave’s books. And I think that’s the perfect lead-in for today’s interview.

A brand new addition to the Caveman family…Clan of the Caveman? Ooh, I like that one! Anyway, I have the sexy and awesome, Caveman Mark with an interview and pictures. I can’t forget the pictures! Hopefully someday soon we’ll see Mark gracing the covers of one our favorite erotic publisher’s books!

Danica: What were you like in high school?
Mark: When I was young I didn’t spend much time worrying about belonging to a specific crowd or what people thought of me. I was that guy that played in the halftime marching band with their football pads on. I played just about every sport and still found time to master the kickflip on my skateboard. I wanted to be all sorts of things when I grew up. I’ve kept my ears and eyes open since day 1 for anything that I enjoy. You can say I consider myself a master of nothing but a student of everything.

Danica: What made you want to be a model?
Mark: I could go on and on about all the reasons I chose a fit lifestyle when I was pretty young. The most important to me, especially as a trainer, is to lead by example. After my first fitness competition in 2012 I realized how much of an impact my success had on other individuals. My coach, Pedro Yanga, set me up with a photographer for my very first shoot 2 weeks out from Chicago’s Iron Man Classic. Since then other designers and photographers helped me realize I had “the look” and that it was a natural look that communicates well on film. I quickly found these photo shoots to be very rewarding in the fact that they keep me on top of my game and motivated others to achieve similar results.

Danica: Do you have a nickname? How did you get it?
Mark: When I was a little kid I got the nickname Mark “The Spark.” I looked at an old family photo album and was even wearing a shirt with my nickname when I was probably about 4 or 5. Rumor has it I never liked to take naps, go to sleep early, or stop bothering people to do stuff with me. All I can say is I’m glad some things never change!
Danica: How many hours do you spend in the gym?
Mark: As a personal trainer I can be in a gym setting anywhere from 30-40 hours a week. As far as my own workouts go, I take about 2 hours a day if I’m prepping for a show to commit to gym time. In the off season my workouts are closer to 60-90 minutes. I can put most of my energy into my strength training and spend little to no time on cardio. I focus more on diet and probably should also say thanks to my parents for passing off some descent genetics.
Danica: What is it like being the focus of female attention?
Mark: It all goes back to hard work. A true leader doesn’t seek reward, or even recognition. However it would be a lie to say that both don’t feel good. I always find somebody to look up to and push myself to the next level. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned in life is to drop the ego and therefore achieve more. I enjoy the attention but do not struggle to maintain a level head.

Danica: What kind of women are you drawn to most sexually?
Mark: I have to say there is more to this then looks! Yes, I am attracted to a woman who is fit and takes good care of herself. The biggest turn on to me is a woman whom knows what she wants. Decisiveness is sexy! This single characteristic can make things much more interesting in the bedroom.
Danica: Are you a breast or butt man?
Mark: Hmmmm..can I say both? LOL
Danica: Hmm, LOL
Danica: What’s your favorite color?
Mark: Orange
Danica: Do you prefer winter or summer?
Summer!! I can’t take my shirt off in Chicago all winter
Danica: And that would be a real shame. A terrible, terrible crime against nature!
mark3
Danica: Do you have any pets?
Mark: I train dogs in my spare time. I have a lab pitt mix named Stanley. I rescued him when he was a young pup and he’s been my boy ever since.
Danica: Aw, how cool is that?
I guess I’m gonna answer this one..
Danica: What is your favorite position?
Mark: Um, can I just show you??…LOL Here’s the thing, if the chemistry is right, they all should be your favorite!!
Danica: For a moment there, it felt as though I might have hit the floor…

Heh, uh, Happy Friday! Have a great weekend…um, *scrolls back up* yeah, y’all have a good one. Happy Christmas and all that…

Interview with Caveman Taylor

Hey y’all, I’m back again with another interview with one of Ellora’s Cave’s delectable cover models. This week I have Caveman Taylor on the blog. This was my first phone interview and I’ll admit I spent most of the interview trying not to say embarrassing things. I didn’t quite manage as you’ll see, but it was fun and Taylor definitely kept me on my toes. I did not record this interview *cough* so I had to go by my own keyboarding skillz and memory. I hope I was able to capture Taylor’s open and funny personality.

He might, might stop by to answer questions, so if you see something I failed to ask him, be sure to leave it in the comments and hopefully he’ll be able to respond.

Danica: Have you ever read one of the books you’ve been a cover model for?
Taylor:  I read WyndRiver Sinner and really liked it.
Danica: What did you think of it?
Taylor: They’re more graphic than I thought they would be. I didn’t know anybody was into that.
Danica: You have no idea.

Danica: Do you have a favorite band? Is there a band you’ve always wanted to see live but haven’t?
Taylor: The Black Keys. They were in concert in Dallas and we had to do a promo so I missed because I had to go back to the club. I heard The Black Keys when they first began were offered like $300,000 to put one of their songs in a mayonnaise commercial but they turned it down because they didn’t want people to think they sold out.
Danica: If someone offered you $300,000 to smear mayonnaise all over your body in a commercial, would you do it?
Taylor: Of course I would!
Danica: I’ll start saving my pennies now…

Danica: What’s the one place in the world you’d love to visit and why?
Taylor: I always wanted to go to California and go surfing, but I was too busy. Hopefully next year or whenever. I’ve been nearly everywhere else.

Danica: What do you have going on right now? Do you have any upcoming appearances? If so, when, where and will there be video? Just joking about that last one. Sort of. Ahem.
Taylor: We’re gonna be on ABC News, an everyday life kind of thing. They filmed me boxing at the gym and things like that. And Fox News is going to be interviewing us again soon. I don’t have any dates for those yet.

Danica: How many hours do you spend in the gym?
Taylor: Here’s the thing. I like to work out and I enjoy it, but I don’t like to work out for a long time. I split it up three days on, one day off, then two days on and one day off an hour each day.
Danica: Out of curiosity, what’s your calorie intake?
Taylor: I like to eat a lot. I don’t know how many calories I take in but it’s got to be maybe 3000 calories a day. I try to splurge every day. But we have a photo shoot coming up so I’ve been dieting lately.
Danica: We both agreed dieting sucks.

Danica: What do you think is your best feature?
Taylor: Besides my personality? I get more compliments on my ass. I remember when I was a kid and I was going to school, the high school girls would make me stand up in the middle of the school bus to check out my ass.

Danica: What’s your favorite kink?
Taylor: I like being blindfolded and surprised. I don’t mind a girl being a little rough. Most girls like to try to get me to do that to them, and I’ll do it, you know, whatever they want, but I kind of like the surprise of not knowing what’s going on. I would like to be tied up, blindfolded and ravished, taken advantage of, used like sex doll.
Danica: I swear I did not put any words in his mouth. He was trying to be a gentleman.

Danica: Do you have any favorite embarrassing or funny moments from a photo shoot?
Taylor I was in Playgirl magazine a couple of times. The first was September 2003, two photo shoots and I was moving around a lot at the time so I don’t know the exact date on the second one.
Danica: If someone finds a copy of these magazines, would you be willing to sign them?
Taylor:  Sure.
Danica: Now for your most awkward moment in a photo shoot.
Taylor: For one of my Playgirl magazine shoots, I was supposed to be a cowboy, so I was in a barn and there were horses in the stalls. There were people all over the place and I was like trying to get it hard, jerking off in front of 10 people. As soon as I would get kind of hard this one horse would reach out and try to bite my shoulder.
Danica: Was the horse jealous?
TaylorTotally, LOL. I embarrassed the horse.

Danica:  Are you a breast or a butt man?
Taylor: Generally I like a big nice ass, but not opposed to big boobs.

Danica: What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done as a model?
Taylor: Most of the crazy sex stuff is in the 2nd book. I need to think about this.
Danica: FYI, I’m blushing at this point because he found it easier to remember crazy sex things than what crazy things he did as a model. Seriously, he said “Hm, let me get off the sex thing and get back to you on this.”

Danica: What’s your favorite color?
Taylor: I’m actually color blind, but I love blue. Like the Mustang Sapphire Blue.

Danica: Favorite food?
Taylor: Steak, medium rare

Danica: Do you prefer winter or summer?
Taylor: I like Autumn
Danica: Being from the south, I’m in total agreement with him here. Autumn, when we get it, rocks.

Danica: What’s one movie you can watch over and over?
Taylor: Casino Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci are awesome together. It’s such good guy movie.

Danica: Do you prefer mountains or beaches?
Taylor: I do like the beach.

Danica: Pets? What kind?
Taylor: No pets, I work so much it’s hard for me to be home enough.

Danica: Boxers, briefs, commando?
Taylor: I like boxer briefs cause with my legs my hamstrings rub together. I like a little material there.
Danica: I have the same problem, but not because my legs are muscular.

Danica: Is there anything about yourself you feel enough people don’t know? Taylor: I like living life to the fullest. I like being a free spirit. My motto is “if it feels good, do it.”

The Bad Stuff

It’s been a little over a month since I quit smoking. I was using Chantix to help me and it helped. It really did, I won’t lie and say I was able to do it on my own. This time of quitting was a lot harder than last time. I’m not sure why, but there you have it. The cigarettes had a tighter hold on me the second time I started than they did the first time around.

But that’s not what I’m blogging about today. It’s related though, so follow along on a rambling blog post…

No. I was at my nephew’s birthday party on Saturday and one of his great-aunts asked me how I come up with my stories. I just kind of shrug because how can I answer that? Stories come to me. I don’t go to them. And I was having some major trouble luring them my way.

Yesterday I talked about my muse returning from the red-light district in Amsterdam and I swear that’s what it feels like. This is where the first part of the blog post comes into play. My last book came out September 19. Since then, I’ve had vague ideas, but hadn’t been able to write them. Then I went on the Chantix…

And it was over. I was done for. There was no writing to be done. I could barely even blog about anything. The Chantix mellowed me out too much. I couldn’t get worked up, pissed off, interested, excited about anything. I think the real reason I’m so enamored of RomantiCon is because I stopped taking the Chantix while I was there and it burned the fog of drugs away.

Danica has stepped out again and the sun feels damn good. My muse is no longer stoned out of her mind. I’m dreaming about the cavemen. Okay, it wasn’t illicit or anything, dammit. I was really hoping for something naughty. What do I get? Taylor Cole working on my house. And no, he wasn’t naked. *mutters*

Anyway. I’m writing again. I’m excited about projects and feeling more like the Danica who could throw out a 50k word story in two weeks. Woot! Now if I can keep away from anything else that will distract me…Ooh! Cavemen!

Oh! By the way, I have a special Caveman Spotlight this Friday…An interview, so if you want to know something about Caveman Christian, be sure to stop by!
