It’s time for What’s Playing Wednesday. It’s also the anniversary of 9-11. Twelve years ago…right about now, I was in bed with the radio playing, but something in the DJ’s voice caught my attention. I stumbled out of bed to the living room and watched in horror as events unfolded.
Lots of times I’ll hear my parents talk about where they were when x happened. As I grow older, I realize those are sad milestones of our lives. Where were you when…Yeah, where were you? I always remember that morning when this date passes around and it saddens me to realize there’s so much hatred in the world.
I was going to pull this post this morning out of respect, then I realized that’s wrong and giving in. We’re meant to live our lives and if listening to music shared by a handsome man is the way we live, so be it. Yes, honor those who were lost twelve years ago, remember and give thanks to the emergency personnel who risked their lives trying to save others, and give thanks to those who fight to keep us safe.
And enjoy some music by Caveman Taylor.
Normally I have themes, but with RomantiCon coming up, I decided to hand the music controls over to some of the cavemen. If you’ve been to the Ellora’s Cave conference, you know just how much fun it is hanging with these guys. They’re all really awesome guys with a great sense of humor. They’re also hot as hell, but y’all already know that from past Fantasy Man Friday Interviews.
But I find knowing what people listen to is probably a better way to get to know them than anything else. By now, most of you probably know I have musical ADD. I have a tough exterior with a sappy, sentimental center. That’s what you’ve probably learned from my music choices over the past…er, 4 years?
So what will we learn from today’s Caveman? Oh, did I mention it’s Taylor? Sexy, funny Caveman Taylor who also co-wrote the Take It Off books? Just in case you don’t remember him, this is Taylor:
Hehe. Sorry. Ahem.
So Taylor, when I asked what song he was digging on lately, chose Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky”. Hm, I wonder what exactly that means? I’ll be honest, I’d never heard this song until Taylor mentioned it. Not really my speed, but it’s kind of groovy, yeah? Check it out for yourself and let me know what you think! And be sure to check out Taylor on Facebook!
