“Oh, he knows.” Lance pressed against her from behind and unbuttoned her blouse.

Heat ran across Autumn’s skin as Lance rubbed his way down to the next button. Pleasure coursed under her skin wherever he massaged. His other hand slid farther up her leg until his thumb softly swept across her wet slit.

Did she want him to do just that? “Challenge accepted.” He walked to a sideboard where a few decanters of liquor rested on a silver tray. “And by the by, I refuse to sleep away from you tonight. Dean’s List Release Day Fantasies

Woot! I love Release Day! I’ll love this one even more if I manage to avoid jury duty, but that’s a story for another day.

Right now, it’s all about my hero Dean and his bevy of beauties. We all have fantasies. I think I talked about this somewhere…*frown* I feel as though I wrote that line in an interview or a guest blog…oh well. But we do. Like, I keep having this recurring dream that the Wayans brothers will knock on my door (as well as every other lady in the Cabal) and ask if they can make a movie out of our Fondled and Gobbled spoofs. And our stories will be on the big screen in all their messy, hilarious glory. Either that, or we’ll be banned from a dozen countries for being too outrageous and then we’ll become notorious and everyone will want us to write more spoofs and I’d finally be able to hire a pool boy. I don’t have a pool, nor do I plan to have one but I want a pool boy.

Okay, I have more realistic fantasies. I have sexual fantasies, I have rich and famous fantasies, I have Please-let-me-sleep-until-6-in-the-morning fantasies. But the bottom line is I have them. I don’t act on all of them, or many of them, but I have them as does everyone else. Dean and his women act on his fantasies. And theirs. They live them out in vivid, sexy detail and I was just the hapless writer who got it down on paper.

Interview with Magic Brian

How’s this for impatience? Monday I said I would space the fantasy interview men out a little and I turned around and posted one anyway. I just couldn’t help myself. Sometimes a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do and this week, I had to share Magic Brian with y’all.

The Great Swag Scramble

Sorry for being such a downer yesterday! I swear, I’m not normally that woe-is-me. Or at least I try not to be.

Anyway, sometime yesterday morning I realized we’re nearing RT. Sure, sure, we still have fifty-three days and all, but really…that isn’t enough time when you have things to do! Like me. Oh man, I have things to do. I have clothes to buy and outfits to figure out. I have my hair to fix and get all awesome (you know I have to get something special for this convention, right?). 

Then I have to start figuring out what kind of costume I’m wearing for the Ellora’s Cave Disco party. Meh…I want comfortable so I’m thinking I’ll wear jeans and a vintage style t-shirt with like Orange Crush on it or something and go all Farrah Fawcett on my hair. *flips it over her shoulders and lets it blow in the imaginary breeze* So that’s one outfit. I think. I have to get dressy clothes *mutters* and things to wear the rest of the time. Jeans are good the entire time, right? It isn’t like I’m important or anything…maybe I can get one of those massive, floor-sweeping skirts so I can pretend I’m girly.

Oh and I have to get swag. Swag is perhaps the most important part of a convention for an author after their wardrobe. The swag readers pick up at a convention is something they’ll (hopefully) have for several weeks, months maybe even years afterward. It’s the hope of the author that once the conference is over the reader will utilize the swag and think of the author and her books. I’ve had Romance Trading Cards (which I’ll have this time around as well). I’ve had guitar key chains and sewing kits (for Primal Song and Primal Design). This time, I’m going to try other objects that have my logo on them like the header at the top of this page. Nothing too suggestive, just my name and info. I think. I might need to see if they can put my website on the items I chose.

But the point of this is, I spent several weeks wondering what I was going to get for this convention. If I was pimping out a book, I’d choose something from the book for the theme, but since I’m pimping myself as an author…it’s a little more difficult. I mean, I want this to be stuff people want to keep, but I don’t want something too bulky either. *sigh* Ah well. I’ll probably change my mind a few million times between now and the deadline to get items.

After six years of freelance graphic design work – designing CD covers, book covers, pamphlets, banners and editing videos – Melody Simmons decided to start a website dedicated to her passion – ebook covers.  Ebookindiecovers has been running since June 2012 and since this is a fairly new site, the prices are very low for the high quality offered.
